Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the website at lumbrstudio.com and the lumbr studio design app (together, the "Service"), provided by lumbr studio ("lumbr studio", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The Service

lumbr studio is a tool for designing woodworking projects and producing parts lists, materials lists and cut plans. We may add, change or remove features, and we may offer paid plans or features; if we do, we'll make the terms for them clear before you pay for anything.

Your designs

The projects you create belong to you. They're stored in your browser on your device, not on our servers, so you're responsible for keeping them: clearing your browser data deletes them, and we can't recover them. Download the PDF of anything you can't afford to lose.

Measurements, cut lists and safety

• Verify every measurement against your actual materials before cutting or buying.
• lumbr studio doesn't check whether a design is strong enough for its load, safe to use, or compliant with building codes. Its stability and fastening checks are aids, not engineering. For anything that bears weight, holds people, or is attached to a building, use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
• Woodworking tools can cause serious injury. Follow your tools' instructions and safe working practices.

You're responsible for what you build and how you build it.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Interfere with, overload or try to break the Service or its security
• Copy, modify, resell or redistribute the Service's software, or try to extract its source code
• Use the Service to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights

Our content

The lumbr studio name, logo, software and site content belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the Service as intended; they don't give you any other rights in it.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will keep your data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, lumbr studio won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, wasted materials, lost profits, or property damage or personal injury arising from your use of the Service or from anything built using it. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes and ending use

We may update these terms; the effective date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. You can stop using lumbr studio at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
